Not a Shared Effort

How about you shutup, get out of my room and stop suggesting that I do what you wish you did with YOUR  life.

Mom, I’m sick of you making your suggestions about what I should do next year, what school I should go to, what I should BE, how many kids I should have, who I should marry, where I should live, and who my friends should be… You might as well tie me up in my closet and BE me because It’s getting ridiculous!!

This morning I was getting ready for school and she came into my room just to say “Hey I was looking at the New Hamburg Independent today and there’s an information day on Saturday. Just telling you because I’m sure you’ll do whatever you want anyways.. you always do”

Okay? I’m in my room minding my own business.. why did you have to come here and say that? Let’s stay on a good note for once Mother. That was really uncalled for if you haven’t noticed.. lets get real here.

She always wants to have these “Girls nights” where we usually go shopping or out for dinner. ALL she wants to talk about is what I’m going to do next year, and with my life.

I’M SORRY I DON’T KNOW YET

Maybe i feel bad that she hates what she did and just quit it all. But should that be my fault? I’m sick of being punished for YOUR mistake that YOU regret. THAT WAS YOUR CHOICE. stop making it look like my fault.

Some day I will figure out what I want to do.. but at this point I have no idea and I’m sorry but when I do pick, it probably won’t be your choice. You already had your turn to pick a career, now it’s mine. NO, I don’t want to open my own business, or be an “office assistant” .. sorry that doesn’t sound exciting. I don’t like the sound of “office” or “assistant”. Sorry that your choice careers aren’t my top options

One day… I’ll show up home on time (10:01… OH NO)
One day I’ll have friends that please YOU.. that is whats important right?
and one day I’ll decide what I’m going to do in my life. and you WONT decide that for me
